Major Academic Cooperation Milestones
Minister Simayi Sarraf disclosed that over 50,000 Iraqi students are presently enrolled at Iranian universities under the supervision of the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Health. Approximately 96 percent of those students are pursuing postgraduate degrees, underscoring the advanced level of academic engagement between the two countries.
In a landmark step, one of Iran's medical sciences universities has established a branch campus inside Iraq after securing formal authorization from the Iraqi government. The campus is now licensed to deliver education across 13 academic disciplines. Iraq is providing the investment and physical infrastructure, while the University of Tehran holds responsibility for academic programming, curriculum delivery and faculty deployment.
