Russia's largest nuclear energy company Rosatom, which operates the nuclear-powered cargo ship Sevmolput, is in talks with India about possible cooperation on the Northern Sea Route, Director General Alexei Likhachev told RIA Novosti.
Likhachev emphasized that Rosatom not only cooperates with India in the field of nuclear energy, but also considers joint projects in the field of the Northern Sea Route. This global transport corridor will benefit the South Asian country's economy.
He also noted that Russia is considering cooperation with Rosatom and its Indian peers in science and technology fields such as quantum computing and communications, and quantum sensor technology. This cooperation between Rosatom and India will improve the use of the Northern Sea Route in international trade and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
